Our work
Wairarapa Pūkaha to Kawakawa Alliance
We collaborated with WaiP2K to facilitate a series of Catchment Action Planning workshops with Catchment Community Groups in the Wairarapa region. We developed Natural Resources Stock (NRS) reports for each group's individual catchment plans.
These reports encompass various components, including soils, terrain, vegetation, and land use, taking into account factors such as slope and rainfall that influence contaminant loss risk. The NRS reports utilise maps, tables, and written descriptions to convey information effectively. Each section of the report provides an explanation of the significance of the information and concludes with suggested actions for the group to consider.
International Water Management Institute (IWMI)
We are working with IWMI to develop a Training and Certification Framework to support the adoption on Resilient Nature Based Solutions for Water (RNSW) in the MENA Region (Middle East and North Africa). RNBSW are an integration of Nature Based Solutions for Water (NBSW) and Agricultural Water Management (AWM).
The training and certification framework and its implementation will support the upscaling of RNBWS in the face of climate change and land degradation. This is a project funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
Informing New Zealand Beef (INZB)
We worked as part of a research team to identify and deliver insights which could be used to inform strategic extension support, and drive adoption and uptake of the genetic tools produced as part of the INZB programme.
This was done through stakeholder engagement (e.g. commercial farmers) to collect data which was analysed to assist with the design of an extension programme.
